On the right, use the "Buy Now" button to make your deposit. Then, use the registration form (below the deposit section) to submit your info.

IF YOU ARE PURCHASING A GIFT CERTIFICATE or wish to prepay in full or pay a balance due, make your payment on the GIFTS & PAYMENTS page. If you are prepaying the full amount for your own class, don't submit the Gift Certificate mailing info. It isn't necessary unless it is a gift for someone other than yourself. It's that easy!

If you have any questions you need researched, click on this link for email. I will to get back to you with an answer or a resource:

A word of caution...the range portion is not the place to learn how to shoot. The firearm qualification is timed and individual coaching just isn't possible. My concentration is strictly on group safety.

If you need help or are a little rusty, arrange for a private session with me. I can help in as little as two hours.

Also, please, please have a clean gun. I have had many people fail to qualify from jams caused by a dirty firearm.

Class Deposit A $25.00 deposit is required to secure your spot. This is non-refundable since there is a cost for class materials. You may, of course, change dates if it becomes necessary. Just let me know. Then, complete the form below. I need this to confirm your slot since I limit my class size. You may use either your PayPal account or a major credit card. If you wish to pay in full, go to the "Gift Certificate" tab, and there you may prepay the entire $95 for either yourself, or as a gift.

Now, continue below and fill out the registration form to complete the process.
WHAT IS THE TOTAL COST
FOR YOUR FIRST TIME CHL?
Here's the skinny...

The class (mine) is $95. It includes class, notary, photos, range fees, and fingerprinting.

Add to this the Texas DPS fee for the license of $140 for a four year term if you have no exemptions. This $140 is paid directly to TXDPS either when you pre-register with them (recommended) or when you mail your application package after class.

So, adding it all up, it's $95, plus $140, for a total cost of $235. That's the whole story.

For those of you renewing, the TXDPS CHL license renewal fee is $70 (as opposed to the $140 initial fee), and licenses renewed are now valid for five years. My renewal class costs $75.

TXDPS offers 50% licensing fee reduction for folks over 60, honorably discharged military, and such. Call me for specifics.

By the end of the day, you will have a complete application package to mail to TXDPS. Use this as a comparison if you are shopping for a class and be sure everything is included.

Also for your consideration... I use only modern, air-conditioned classrooms in convenient locations, and a full multi-media presentation system with videos and it really makes the class fun and fast. Hope y'all will choose One Day CHL. See you there.

After registering above for class space, I highly recommend the on-line Preregistration at TXDPS for your course materials. I can provide them, but it does help to start the process early if you have about two weeks lead time.

It is fast and easy, and it will establish eligibility, complete some of your forms for you, and allow you to prepay the TXDPS license fee on-line. You need to allow three to four weeks lead time before class, but if you can't get it done, I will provide you with the materials you need.
